…and all I want is a one-way ticket out of Seneca Falls.
The way I see it, the Erie Canal is just that ticket. Slide out of town on a packet or cargo. Nab a hoggee job driving those long-eared mules. Swing my fists in one of those ball bustin’ brawls my brother Coop fights. That’s what I want! Don’t want school or sissy girl chores. Tossing knives and wrestling with towpath toughs is my pleasure. Nobody scares me. And I take joy in being wicked.
