Coming in Spring 2019
After her husband is killed in a mysterious laboratory explosion, Abby Finn retreats to Goose Inlet where someone is poaching sea turtle eggs and leaving human body parts beneath the nests—and someone else is blaming her husband.
Tillson Pharmaceutical can’t give Abby Finn a reason why her husband’s laboratory blew up on Mother’s Day with him in it. And why was he in his lab on Mother’s Day anyway? When Abby accepts a friend’s invitation to recover her peace of mind in the little seaside town of Goose Inlet, she reluctantly joins the local sea turtle project. Her bid for serenity is shattered, however, when she helps dig out a hatched nest and instead of finding empty shells and maybe a live baby Loggerhead, she grabs a handful of human flesh. Who would do such a thing—destroy endangered sea turtle eggs and leave a piece of person behind? As Abby scans the beach for suspects likely to murder and mangle, her gaze settles on the big-city bozo in wingtips, the prickly volunteer with money problems, the goofy beach bums with a family history of turtle egg omelets, and scores of volunteers possessing the knowledge needed to poach and cover it up. Certainly one of them is the villain. Certainly not her dead husband, like the wing-tipped man suggests.
